Self Love Message was a project in which I participated in the Fourth Call for Artist's Book by Estampería Quiteña. The complete experience is the book that I couldn't include here, but I'm sharing the images that were created and inspired by a personal grieving process due to the pandemic of 2020. These images were made using pencil and paper, then digitized and finally screen-printed.
Combining drawings with lyrics from songs that were inspirations for the images, with a mix of art, illustration and graphic design, and a chromatic that represents the three alchemical states of spiritual transformation: black, white and red; in this work, I share the result of a personal exploration that served to arrive at a synthesis of some concepts related to the great dimensions of self-love: the ability to give ourselves to others, to be honest with our feelings (whatever the consequences may be), the ability to move forward on our own path, resilience, gratitude, and the most important of all, the ability to find inner liberation.
